An introduction

My intention here is just to keep a diary of events in my daily tinkering with my various computers.
In the past, I had either written nothing or committed what I remembered to paper and thereafter been unable to find what I was looking for without trawling through many pagesof gibberish.
If I post all this stuff to a personal blog, then it'll be a whole lot easier to search and I can look at it wherever I am.
OK, that's all I need to say for the moment.
