Used this guide.
However, had problems adding the line
paul ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL
as visudo refused to accept my name (paul) saying it was not a command.
So, I uncommented an existing line that gave sudo priveleges to all users who are members of the wheel group which I am.
Seems that sudo is now working but will only know after a day or two use.

Just to confirm that Sudo is working well in FreeBSD following my editting of the sudoers file yesterday.
