Now, Opera can play flash videos in ArchLinux.
What I did was:
1. pacman -S flashplugin
This put libflashplayer.so into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
2. Next, I copied this file to /usr/lib/opera/plugins but this seems to have become deleted possibly during the various attempts to clear all opera dependencies from the system (mentioned in the previous post)
3. Nevertheless, still flash videos play apparently because in ~/.opera/ there is a file called pluginpath that defines the available paths for the flash plugin as /usr/lib/opera/plugins and /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
