Tips for new users in FreeBSD.

Some simple, but very useful stuff here.

Of particular interest to me was this article on /etc/make.conf which can be used for updating of both /usr/ports and /usr/src
Note, however, that the cvsup url that I used was different from what's in the article. I used
cvsup.uk.freebsd.org
Thereafter, I updated both ports and src which, incidenatlly take quite abit longer than the equivalent operation in Ubuntu.

Another interesting beginners tip is about the find command which seems very useful.

Yet another interesting article concerns the ubiquitous PATH.
