Kurumin VM screen resolution

I posted to the Kurumin forum about my inability to get a 1280x800 screen resolution in Kurumin in VMware Server but received no useful replies.
Today, I tried once again and added "Kurumin Screen 1280x800" to the boot screen and this time, it worked!
Really can't explain what I did different this time but I'm not aware that I did anything.
However, would like to get the required resolution every time without having to dod anything extra.
For this, I'm sure I have to get the /etc/X11/xog.conf file set up although I've already tried this wothout success.
Nevertheless, this was at least some progress.
