This morning when I booted into Foresight on the Dell, a total of seven sound devices were available in alsamixer (including the Sound Blaster). So, I've been playing Last.Fm here all day without any problems.
However, I really have no confidence that I would still be able to play music here after a reboot.
Nevertheless, it is very, very puzzling that sometimes it works, but mostly it doesn't.
I mean, computers can't think or feel bad, right?
