Today I wanted to Synergy from Foresight on my MacBook to Foresight on my Dell. Problem was that the hostname on both computers was now "foresight" and Synergy complained about this.
So, I had to change the hostname on one of them.
Some confusing and incorrect information out there about how to do this but this certainly worked for me in Foresight.
Just go into these three files and change the hostname to whatever you want (making sure, of course, that all three are the same).
/etc/sysconfig/network
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
/etc/hosts
Then reboot and the change should be made.
