Another attempt to install awn-extras-applets in FreeBSD 7.0

Beacuse ArchLinux is very reminiscent of FreeBSD, and because I managed to get awn-extras-applets installed there without too much trouble, I decided to try again in FreeBSD.
So, I made sure all of the dependencies recommended by Arch AUR for awn-extras-applets-0.2.6.1 were isnalled in FreeBSD.
These were:
gnome-menus, libgtop, libnotify, libsexy and vte.
Actually all but the last one were installed although the first two were updated.
However, even with this, doing a ./configure in the ~/Desktop/avant-window-navigator-0.2.6/awn-extras-applets/ directory still errored out saying that the "awn" package was not found.
So then I decided to compare the awn packages in Arch and in FreeBSD.
In Arch, the awn package at /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/awn had the following content:
_init_.py, _init_.pyc, _init_.pyo, awn.a, awn.so and extras (this last a folder): total= 192.5 kB

In FreeBSD, the awn package at /usr/local/lib/python2.5/site-packages/awn contained the following:
_init_.py, _init_.pyc, _init_.pyo, awn.a, awn.la, awn.so : total= 244 kB

So, no extras folder in the FBSD version. I wonder is that why there's a problem given that we're trying to install the extras.
Maybe I'll just copy over the extras and see if that will encourage it to at least configure.
