How I got fusion-icon working all came from this thread.
However, I just can't get it to start from ~/.kde/Autostart/
I have tried various options, including a bash script (executable) but nothing will cause fusion-icon to start at boot. I've posted about this but no replies which usually means it's something very peculiar to my computer.
Interestingly, Compiz Fusion Icon is available in KMenu>System but it, too, will not start up fusion-icon. Neither will a keyboard shortcut I assigned to this program.
So something very starnge here.
