Because the eyeOS music player only handles .mp3 files, I had to look around for a way to convert my other music files (notably .ogg, .wma and .flac) to mp3.
Here's a nice thread that shows how to convert .ogg to .mp3 (going through .wav)
I'm not yet sure if lame on it's own can convert .wma to .mp3 but it does seem to. The reason i'm not totally sure is that the resulting .mp3 file, although it plays fine in Ubuntu, doesn't play in the eyeOS mp3 player for some unknown reason.
I need to look into this.
