I said I needed to talk to the #foresight IRC channel to try and get a little further with my attempts to install awn-extras there.
Well, I did talk to them and used the CLI route (rather than Pidgin). Here's a useful guide to IRC via command line.
I didn't get the problem solved but I learnt a few things:
1. Ina addition to cl1p.net which I have been using, there are a couple of other similar utilities:
a) dpaste.com
b) www.pastebin.ca
2. While I had been using =@f1:2-devel at the end of the package name, can also use =@fl:2-devel . So, i the first one, I'm not sure if the 1 after the small f should have been an "l" or this is another option.
